How to Register a New LEI

A new LEI can be completed and an LEI obtained quickly by anybody in your organisation that has access to the required documentation.

Any legal entity can apply for an LEI, including limited companies, LLCs, Funds, Trusts, Pensions, Government Entities, Associations, Charities, NGOs etc.

LEI Application Process:

1.Navigate to the main page of the LEI WorldWide website.

2.Locate the "Register New LEI" button on the right side of the screen.

  • Enter the entity name or number and its jurisdiction.

  • Click search; we will try to locate your legal entity from our database.

  • If your entity does not appear in the search results (e.g is a Fund/Trust) please proceed to manual entry.

Our system will search company registries globally. If it finds your entity it will give you the option to choose it. If it does not, you will be redirected to manual data entry.

  1. Enter your name and contact deatils. You can checkout as a guest, or login.

  2. Enter your company ID.

  3. Enter the name of the Authorised Signatory.

  4. Level II data: Complete parent company information. Reporting a parent is not obligatory.

  5. Upload supporting documentation, e.g corroborating documents or EoAs.

  6. After completing the registration form, proceed to the package selection. Choose from 1 year, 3 year, or 5 year packages with varying prices. Note that the cost per year decreases as the duration of the multi-year plan increases. Decide whether you would like to include the Auto-Renewal, Fast Track, or LEI Certificate options, if applicable.

    Choose from a wide range of currency options. Please note the account will keep this option permanently once chosen.

    Review and accept the terms and conditions, then click "Proceed to Payment."

  7. Proceed to Payment and checkout by using a credit card, or choosing the wire transfer invoicing method.
